Healing Ministry

sickb

Twice a year at Easter and Christmas a special Anointing Mass is held for all sick and elderly parishioners. The mass is followed by a special brunch catered for by parishioners. The Anointing of the Sick is also available for the sick on request.

Anthonycare is a group of volunteer workers who offer practical short term support to any of our parishioners who are sick, elderly or convalescing. The main work is providing meals, housework and ironing, driving and child minding.

A group of Acolytes and Special Ministers take Holy Communion to the sick and homebound every Thursday.

Please contact the Parish office on 9294 3504, if you know anyone who would like to be included on our prayer list or if they would like Fr Emil to visit them at home or in hospital on the First Friday of the month.

The Society has an active branch in our parish. It’s aim is to help people in the most humane way and to assist them where necessary to become independent members of the community. The spiritual philosophy of the society is that bearing witness to Christ, through charitable actions, brings blessings on the helper and the helped. If require any help please ring the St Vincent's Help Line on 1300 794 054.
