The Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) names the process by which individuals desiring to become the members of the Catholic Church, embrace a journey of spiritual and personal formation. The Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation) are celebrated during the Easter Vigil and the group meet once a week at 7.30pm. Each year children are prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation. Parents are involved in these Sacramental programmes. The children from our Government schools are prepared for the Sacraments and receive them at the end of the year on the feast of Christ the King. Their classes are held every Tuesday afternoon between 3:45pm and 4:45pm at St Anthony’s School.
